About The Job:

• This role is part of our Conferences Business Analytics team. We are looking for an Individual Contributor with 3+ years of experience who strives to model and analyse complex data questions while knowing how to explain them easily.
• This position offers the opportunity to utilize strong data management, integration, and analytical skills to support BI initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create Compelling Visuals: Design and build stunning Power BI dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel. Master charting techniques, including advanced visuals like maps and waterfall charts, to turn complex data into clear narratives.
• Model the Data Multiverse: Architect robust data models using DAX and M scripting, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability for future insights.
• Requirements Engineering: Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and transform business requirements into technical and functional specifications for reports.
• Strategic Storytelling: Provide expert guidance and tools that enable faster, smarter decisions on mission-critical priorities. Present insights persuasively to shape how we do business.
• Technical Collaboration: Engage with the IT organization as a solution provider in data warehousing and business intelligence areas.
• Maintain a Data Trail: Meticulously document your work, including maintaining detailed data dictionaries and model documentation to ensure the longevity of knowledge.
• Continuous Improvement: Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvement while staying updated on the latest Power BI features and AI integrations.

Qualifications:
Top Skills:

• Power BI, SQL Server, Excel & Data Analysis
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; currently enrolled in or possessing a degree in Business, Computer Science, or an operations-related discipline.
• Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience with Power BI Desktop and Service.
• Querying & Scripting: Proficiency in writing SQL code and experience with data cleaning and transformation tools.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel/PowerPoint) and familiarity with Figma or similar tools for wireframing.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to varied leadership levels.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team in a dynamic landscape.
• Experience using Microsoft Power BI + Advanced SQL capabilities (PostgreSQL will be primary use)
• Excellent analytical skills including proficiency in using web analytics tools and data analysis, analyzing metrics
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-discipline environment
• Effective collaboration style for both technical and business teams, ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence and develop consensus with teams not in a direct report alignment
