Bending Machine Operator (Press Brake)

Linga Technologies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bending Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in precision and can transform raw metal into high-quality components according to exact technical specifications.

About the Role

As a Bending Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating power-press machines (CNC or Manual) to bend, form, and straighten metal plates and structures. You will play a key role in ensuring our mechanical fabrications meet the strict quality standards the Linga Group is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC press brake machines or manual bending machines to process various gauges of metal.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and custom bending sequences.
• Tooling & Setup: Select, install, and align proper punches and dies based on material thickness and required angles.
• Quality Control: Perform first-off inspections and periodic checks using calipers, protractors, and micrometers to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Material Handling: Load and unload workpieces manually or using lifting equipment, ensuring no damage to the finish.
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow all industrial safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience operating CNC Bending/Press Brake machines in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in reading mechanical engineering drawings (2D/3D).
• Deep understanding of metal properties (Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Aluminum).
• Ability to calculate bend allowances and material deductions.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle metal components.
• Attributes: High level of manual dexterity, focus on precision, and a strong work ethic.
