AVP – Financial Services Group (FSG)

Location: Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage advisory mandates for Financial Services clients including NBFCs, Banks, Insurance companies, AMCs, FinTechs, and regulated BFSI entities
  • Drive end-to-end execution of M&A, strategic advisory, capital structuring, stake sale, and partnership transactions
  • Own client relationships, act as the primary point of contact, and manage ongoing strategic discussions
  • Lead preparation and finalization of pitchbooks, teasers, information memorandums, valuation outputs, and board-level presentations
  • Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction structures, ensuring quality and commercial soundness
  • Guide due diligence, manage data rooms, and coordinate with legal, tax, regulatory advisors, and counterparties
  • Support negotiations, term sheet discussions, and transaction closures alongside senior leadership
  • Identify new business opportunities, contribute to origination ideas, and support mandate conversion
  • Mentor and review work of junior team members to ensure high-quality deliverables

  • Qualifications & Experience
  • MBA / CA / CFA with 6–10 years of experience in Investment Banking Advisory, Corporate Finance, or M&A, preferably within BFSI
  • Strong understanding of financial services business models, regulatory frameworks, and capital structures
  • Proven ability to independently run mandates and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and client communication
  • Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and leadership presence
  • Prior experience leading M&A or strategic advisory transactions in the Financial Services sector
  • Established client network within BFSI is a strong plus
