Automotive General Sales Manager

You are being recruited for the role of Manager Sales in the Automotive Sector, based in India with dual reporting to the General Manager Automotive (UAE) and Sales Director (Mumbai, India). Your primary responsibility will be to drive accessories/automotive parts sales, identify new market opportunities, generate leads, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure consistent follow-ups and client engagement. This role requires a hands-on approach, focusing on field sales prospecting and building relationships with OEMs and automotive stakeholders.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • - Develop and execute sales strategies to grow accessories/parts business and expand the customer base in India.
    - Research and identify new market opportunities for automotive products/services with a strong focus on OEMs and key stakeholders.
    - Drive cold calling, networking, and prospecting to build a strong pipeline; maintain and grow a qualified lead database.
    - Ensure systematic follow-up with prospects and customers; nurture leads through the pipeline to closure.
    - Build relationships, understand client requirements, coordinate meetings/events/presentations, and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
    - Maintain accurate activity logs, communication records, and opportunity status in CRM; ensure timely updates and next actions.
    - Provide regular updates on pipeline conversion, sales vs. plan, market pricing trends, and competitor insights; support annual budgeting.
    - Support marketing/promotional activities (trade shows, client events, presentations) to promote products.
    - Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, operations) to ensure smooth delivery and effective communication of client feedback.
    - Handle client inquiries and coordinate timely solutions with GM/DGM and internal teams.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • - Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred), MBA in Sales/Marketing/Business Development is a plus.
    - Experience: 5-7 years in automotive accessories and/or parts sales/business development (B2B), preferably with a multi-national OEM/Tier-1 ecosystem.
    - Proven experience in lead generation & prospecting, client follow-ups and relationship management, pipeline management and forecasting, sales coordination and reporting.
