SmartOz is looking for a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting and be comfortable communicating with clients in professional English.

The role involves managing accounting tasks, preparing invoices, maintaining financial records, and assisting clients with their queries. Experience with accounting software such as Xero will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for clients
  • Create and manage invoices and financial documents
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain and review the general ledger
  • Assist in preparation of BAS, IAS, and financial reports
  • Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records
  • Communicate with clients in clear and professional English
  • Respond to client queries related to invoices and accounts
  • Work with accounting software such as Xero and Excel
  • Assist the team with accounting and administrative tasks

  • Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience with Xero or other accounting software (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to create invoices and maintain financial records
  • Good spoken and written English for client communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CPA (preferred)
  • Experience working with international or Australian clients
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
