Role Overview:
As an Associate Manager, Financial Accounting and Control at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), your main responsibility will be to prepare, develop, and analyze financial information to assist senior management in making well-informed decisions for future stability, growth, and profitability. Your role will focus on core accounting skills, working across different business divisions to support the entire organization. You will report to the Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting and Control and play a crucial role in achieving organizational objectives and Key Performance Indicators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end accounts close and review processes to ensure accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet, and meet all Group reporting deadlines.
- On-board additional scope and align processes according to the TOM (Target Operating Model).
- Ensure the team meets tight reporting deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and substantiations.
- Support external audit processes for companies within scope by liaising with external auditors.
- Adhere to internal controls as per group policies and the financial control framework.
- Support Group projects and ensure detailed implementation of new systems and processes.
- Work collaboratively to identify and support continuous improvement activities.
- Partner with Entity Accountants, Financial Controllers, Group Reporting, and Statutory Reporting teams to be a key member of the Finance CoE.

Qualifications Required:
- Professional accounting degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in General Accounting.
- Strong track record in processing core accounting transactions and consolidations accurately in the general ledger.
- Background in a finance shared services environment is advantageous.
- Experience in financial control processes, including account reconciliations and substantiations.
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Oracle Fusion, and Blackline is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, especially in Excel.
- Strong communication skills in oral & written English.
- Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment and meet business priorities and deadlines.
- Strong process orientation and ability to craft robust reporting frameworks.
