About the Role

The Associate Relationship Manager – Liabilities is a key role within the Rural Banking function, focused on deepening customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. The role supports the Relationship Manager in expanding the bank’s liabilities business in rural markets through lead generation, account opening, and customer engagement. The role bearer is responsible for acquiring new clients, building household-level relationships, and maximizing the lifetime value of each customer. This position plays a vital part in achieving the bank’s broader strategic goals in rural banking.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct area mapping within the catchment and maintain accurate and timely daily activity/sales reports.
  • Generate a wish list of potential customers through cold calling and promotional activities to increase awareness of the bank and its products.
  • Ensure completion of account opening formalities with strict adherence to KYC norms, including mandatory field verification.
  • Promote multiple product adoption during account opening (e.g., mobile banking, net banking, recurring deposit/fixed deposit activation).
  • Drive account activation and maintain account health consistently.
  • Deliver superior customer service to increase wallet share and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Assess client needs and generate new revenue streams through cross-selling based on lifestyle, risk profile, and financial requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Secondary Responsibilities
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
  • Support the implementation of livelihood advancement and community development initiatives.

  • What We Are Looking For
    Education
  • Graduate in any discipline (e.g., BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, BTech, BE).
  • Experience
  • Minimum1yearsof relevant experience in branch banking.

  • Good understanding of banking products and services.
