Position Overview
The University invites applications from highly qualified, motivated, and research-oriented candidates for the post of Assistant Professor of Agriculture. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, curriculum development, and contributing to academic administration in alignment with UGC norms and university policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in Agriculture and allied areas as per curriculum requirements.
• Design, update, and deliver course content in accordance with UGC/NEP guidelines.
• Publish quality research papers in UGC Care–listed / Scopus / Web of Science indexed journals.
• Actively participate in academic planning, syllabus framing, BOS/academic committees, and university governance.
• Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, FDPs, and extension activities.
• Mentor students for academic growth, research aptitude, and career development.
• Undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the University from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria (As per UGC Norms)
For Assistant Professor

• As per UGC norms – UGC NET qualified/ P.HD perusing, from a recognized university
• Minimum 3-4 years of teaching and/or research experience in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution.
• Evidence of published work and research guidance as per UGC norms.

Desirable Skills & Competencies

• Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
• Research orientation with interdisciplinary perspective.
• Excellent communication and academic writing skills.
• Ability to contribute to institutional development and accreditation processes.
• Commitment to academic integrity, innovation, and student-centric learning.
