BAM (Bureau of Architecture Media) is building a global publishing platform dedicated to architecture and design. We document and publish projects from studios around the world and are developing a network of architecture-focused media platforms and magazines.

Our goal is to create a reliable platform where architecture projects, ideas, and studios gain global visibility.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Architecture Writer / Journalist who is passionate about architecture and enjoys telling stories about the built environment.

You will write articles and project features that highlight architecture studios, their work, and ideas shaping contemporary architecture. This role involves researching projects, understanding design intent, and presenting architecture in a clear and engaging way for a global audience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, research, and architectural storytelling .

Key Responsibilities

• Write architecture project features and studio stories
• Research and write articles on architecture trends, ideas, and practices
• Prepare articles based on project press materials and interviews
• Study architectural projects and translate design ideas into engaging narratives
• Contribute to BAM’s architecture publications and partner media platforms
• Maintain accuracy in project information, credits, and references

Ideal Candidate

• Background in Architecture, Architectural Journalism, or Design
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Passion for architecture media and storytelling
• Curious about architecture from different parts of the world
• Ability to research and understand design concepts

Bonus Skills

• Experience writing for architecture or design publications
• Familiarity with architecture magazines and global design media
• Interest in interviews, editorial writing, and long-form storytelling
