Overview:

The Arabic Language Expert will be responsible for facilitating effective communication in Arabic within our organization, enhancing understanding among diverse stakeholders. The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive support in translation, interpretation, and cultural consultation, thereby ensuring that Arabic-speaking clients and team members have access to essential information and services.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Translate written documents from English to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.

    • Provide real-time interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and negotiations.

    • Develop and maintain a glossary of specialized terms used within the organization to ensure consistency across all communications.

    • Conduct cultural training and workshops for team members to foster a better understanding of Arabic-speaking cultures.

    • Assist in grievance handling by addressing concerns voiced by bilingual stakeholders with empathy and professionalism.

    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that all communications are effectively tailored to the Arabic-speaking audience.

    • Review and edit translated materials for quality assurance and adherence to language standards.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in Arabic dialects and Regional languages as needed.

    • Strong understanding of translation software and tools.

    • Familiarity with cultural nuances in Arabic-speaking regions.

    • Excellent command of written and verbal communication in both Arabic and English.

    • Ability to create and utilize glossaries and standard translation practices.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Arabic Studies, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in translation and interpretation.

    • Certification in translation or interpretation (e.g., ATA, ITI) is preferred.

    • Proven experience in grievance handling and conflict resolution is a plus.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Deep linguistic proficiency in Arabic, including various dialects and variations, to effectively meet diverse communication needs.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on grievance handling and conflict resolution, ensuring resolutions meet the expectations and sensitivities of Arabic-speaking individuals.

    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to addressing stakeholder concerns.

    • Previous experience working in a multicultural environment, particularly with diverse teams and clients, is highly valued.
