Your Role And Responsibilities

As an Application Architect specializing in Oracle OCI, you will design and architect enterprise-grade solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, translating business requirements into cloud-native architectures that are secure, highly available, cost-efficient, and aligned with enterprise standards. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to DBAs, migration engineers, and developers throughout project lifecycles. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Design Cloud-Native Architectures: Design OCI landing zones with enterprise standards for tenancy structure, compartments, security, networking, monitoring, and logging, ensuring alignment with performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
  • Architect Database Solutions: Architect database solutions using OCI-native services, such as Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and Database Cloud Service, to meet business requirements.
  • Define High Availability Architectures: Define high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region architectures leveraging Autonomous Data Guard, GoldenGate, and OCI replication services to ensure business continuity.
  • Establish Migration Blueprints: Establish migration and modernization blueprints, including re-host, re-platform, and re-architecture approaches, to accelerate cloud adoption.
  • Lead Solution Design Workshops: Lead solution design workshops, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical reviews to validate architecture choices and ensure successful project outcomes.

    Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Deep Expertise in Cloud Architecture: Experience with designing and architecting enterprise-grade solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including cloud-native architectures, landing zones, and core infrastructure components such as VCNs, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Database Solutions: Experience with architecting database solutions using OCI-native services, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and Database Cloud Service, with a focus on performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.
  • High Availability Architecture Expertise: Experience with defining high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region architectures leveraging Autonomous Data Guard, GoldenGate, and OCI replication services.
  • Cloud Migration and Modernization: Experience with establishing migration and modernization blueprints, including re-host, re-platform, and re-architecture approaches, to accelerate cloud adoption.
  • Technical Leadership: Experience with providing technical leadership and guidance to DBAs, migration engineers, and developers throughout project lifecycles, including leading solution design workshops, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical reviews.

  • Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Expertise: Experience with designing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, integrating OCI with AWS, Azure, and GCP via Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and Interconnect, is beneficial for this role.
  • Automation Frameworks Knowledge: Familiarity with creating automation frameworks using OCI Resource Manager (Terraform), Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployments is a plus.
  • Security Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of compliance with SOC2, ISO, GDPR, and enterprise governance policies is advantageous for partnering with security teams.
