Role Overview

Analytics & Insights Team Lead will lead a high-performing team of Specialists who serve as the subject matter experts for all data-related aspects of email marketing campaigns. You are responsible for the team’s overall delivery, ensuring technical excellence in audience segmentation, pipeline maintenance, and data-driven storytelling. Beyond technical oversight, you will focus on people leadership, resource planning, and standardizing data practices to drive operational maturity across the ACO organization.

Position Responsibilities:
  • People Leadership: Formally manage a team of Analytics & Insights Specialists. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and providing continuous coaching to elevate the team’s technical and professional skills.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Establish and oversee standards for SQL scripting, audience validation, and data pipeline maintenance. Ensure the team delivers "zero-error" targeting sets and adheres to rigorous QA protocols.
  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Accountable for the design, maintenance, and optimization of end-to-end data pipelines. Drive the automation of repetitive data pulls and ensure the integrity of the "Data-to-Deployment" workflow.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for senior marketing and analytics stakeholders. Influence campaign strategy by providing high-level technical feasibility assessments and data-backed recommendations.
  • Pipeline & Architecture Oversight: Manage the integrity and scalability of the team’s data pipelines. Drive the adoption of advanced tools and version control systems (e.g., GitHub/google3) to ensure efficient and effective workflows.
  • Experimentation Strategy: Oversee the team’s contribution to experiment setups (A/B testing). Ensure consistent system behavior analysis (filtration rates) and alignment between technical implementation and marketing objectives.
  • Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Lead the development of sophisticated reporting frameworks and executive-level dashboards. Translate complex team outputs into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Capacity & Resource Management: Manage team bandwidth and project assignments. Prioritize high-impact requests and ensure the team is balanced across multiple campaign priorities and deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify systemic gaps in data availability or process efficiency and drive the implementation of automated solutions or new analytical methodologies.

    Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Marketing Operations.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of leading technical teams.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL: Mastery in building and maintaining complex data pipelines and audience segmentation logic.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Deep experience in managing the lifecycle of data pipelines, including data ingestion, segmentation, transformation, and monitoring for errors or latency.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between deep technical data processes and high-level business goals.
  • Technical Infrastructure: Strong experience with version control systems (GitHub/Cider/google3) and integrated development environments (IDE).
  • Data Visualization: Advanced experience governing the use of tools like Tableau, Looker, or Google-internal PLX/Data Studio to drive business decisions.
  • MarTech Expertise: Deep understanding of how data pipelines integrate with Email Service Providers (ESPs) and Marketing Automation platforms.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data automation.
  • MarTech Expertise: Deep understanding of email marketing ecosystems, including dynamic content, deliverability governance, and automation workflows.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience designing and implementing long-term data roadmaps within a marketing context.
  • Innovation: Familiarity with leveraging GenAI (generative AI) to optimize data targeting and personalization strategies.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science).
