Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us. Roles & Responsibilities Perform reporting and analysis on field medical insight and social media trends, patterns, and key reactions. Summarize findings and provide conclusions. Query, store, and manage internal insights and external social media data. Apply standardized business rules and automated processes to prepare analytic-ready data sets for a variety of purposes, including medical congress coverage and monitoring major product launches. Assist with devising and applying processes for the rapid and efficient handling of high volumes of unstructured text data, including leveraging innovative AI and algorithmic techniques to provide accurate categorization and tagging for business purposes. Appropriately maintain tools and processes used in the consistent processing of data, including product/study tag libraries, master user mapping references, and other files. Create efficient pipelines for the curation of analytic-ready data sets. Maintain and populate PowerPoint templates for quantitative insight reporting for a variety of purposes, including congresses, Medical launches, and ad hoc analytic needs. Assist with the creation of other reports, including social media reporting, based on direction from managers and onshore leads. Stay informed about industry trends relevant to BI reporting, visualization, medical affairs, and Field Medical. Experience: BA/BS minimum degree. Special consideration for advanced degrees in applied sciences (computer science, mathematics, data science) or engineering. 1-3 years career experience preferred, including experience in data analytics. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in a challenging and fast-paced matrix environment. Ability to understand business goals and priorities, translating them into actionable reporting. Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information into easy-to-digest written formats. Clinical or pharmaceutical / healthcare industry experience preferred. Familiarity with how data can be used to answer critical business solutions and develop creative solutions. Familiarity with different analytics and data visualization methodologies, with an emphasis on text analytics. Experience with integrating new tools and methodologies into complex data environments would be a bonus. Familiarity with sourcing social media data (Twitter/X) from external sources. Proficiency with MS Office. Proficiency in interactive and collaborative workspaces (e.g. SharePoint, Domino). Familiarity with predictive analytics software and methodologies (e.g. R, Python, SAS). Familiarity with text analytics software and methodologies (e.g. BioBERT, SciBERT, Luminoso, KANA). Familiarity with data visualization software (Tableau). Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Skills and competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Analytic mindset with knowledge of qualitative design, data analysis, and applied statistics. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Good written and verbal communication skills, both when working on reports and communicating with stakeholders.
