**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- B.Sc in Paramedical Technology (OT)
- Any master degree (Added Advantage)

• *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Report to OT Matron each morning and get list of all existing Anaesthesiology related issues from the night report
- Check all the Anaesthesia equipment in main OT, COT, IVF and Endoscopy each day to make sure that they are in working order.
- Raise any issue regarding the Anaesthesia equipment with the OT Matron and then through her to the Biomedical team.
- Work closely with the Technologist-Special Units regarding Anaesthesia equipment
- Get a list of all the OT procedures to be carried out during the day in main OT, COT and Endoscopy
- Carry our pre-op check up to ensure that all the required medications are available for either GA, Spinal or Regional Anaesthesia based on the case.
- Inform the concerned Consultant Anaesthesiologist and OT Matron in the event there is something missing.
- Be present during a case in the OT, if required by the Anaesthesiologist.
- Keep a record of all medication used and ensure that this is correctly documented by the Resident and or Consultant
- Ensure that any unused vials are disposed off as per the OT and NABH Guidelines.
- Confirm that medication under the different classes is correctly entered and relevant forms are completely filled and signed with a stamp of the Consultant.
- Ensure that all disposables used for Anaesthesia are properly cleaned and sterilized as per SOP
- Report any Anesthesia related issues to the OT Matron immediately.
- Work together with the OT staff, technicians, OT Matron, OT Manager and ancillary staff to see that OT procedures are streamlined.
- Post procedures make sure that all the disposables are correctly discarded as per Biomedical Waste norms.
- Prepare for the next procedure by following all OT protocols.
- Give a report each evening before leaving to the OT Matron about Anaesthesia related issues, if any, and a list of requirement for the following day.
- Routinely carry out rounds of the various units (COT, IVF and Endoscopy) where procedures are being carried out and assist the Anesthesiology Consultant where required.
- Maintain full confidentiality about all cases that are carried out at the hospital and not discuss these with anyone other than your HOD.
- Endure that you are always on time and available if required for any emergency cases in any of the OTs.
- Always maintain decorum in the areas where are working and show respect to all staff and consultants with whom you are working.
- Look to improve your skills by learning, asking questions and clearing doubts from the senior and experienced staff.
- Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time
