Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Expert to establish and lead the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning practice within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building the AI capability from the ground up, identifying high-impact use cases across manufacturing and business functions, developing AI/ML solutions, and creating a scalable AI-driven ecosystem for the company.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to drive innovation and digital transformation in the automotive manufacturing domain.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Practice Development

• Build and lead the AI/ML practice within the organization from inception.
• Define the AI roadmap and strategy aligned with manufacturing and business goals.
• Identify high-value AI use cases across production, supply chain, quality control, predictive maintenance, and customer analytics.
• Establish AI governance, standards, and best practices.

Solution Design & Development

• Design and develop machine learning and deep learning models for manufacturing optimization.
• Build solutions for:
• Predictive maintenance
• Demand forecasting
• Quality inspection using computer vision
• Production optimization
• Supply chain analytics
• Develop scalable data pipelines and ML infrastructure.

Data & Technology Architecture

• Collaborate with IT and data teams to design data architecture and ML platforms.
• Implement MLOps frameworks for model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Work with large datasets from IoT sensors, manufacturing systems, and enterprise platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Build and mentor a team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI specialists.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to embed AI solutions in business processes.
• Drive AI adoption and training initiatives across the organization.

Innovation & Research

• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
• Evaluate and implement tools related to computer vision, NLP, and predictive analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.

Experience

• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven experience in building AI solutions end-to-end.
• Experience in setting up AI or data science teams/practices is highly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Statistical Modeling
• Programming skills in Python or R
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
• Experience with Computer Vision, NLP, or Predictive Analytics
• Knowledge of MLOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
• Strong understanding of data engineering and data pipelines

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with IoT data from manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing
• Experience implementing AI in production environments
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems in manufacturing
