Role Overview

The Actuarial Intern will support Deloitte India's Actuarial & Risk Advisory practice by assisting in actuarial modeling, data analysis, financial risk assessment, and insurance analytics.
This role offers hands-on exposure to real client engagements across insurance, financial services, and risk consulting.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in actuarial valuations, reserving, pricing, and forecasting models
Support data collection, validation, and actuarial analysis
Work on risk modeling, solvency assessments, and regulatory reporting
Support actuarial teams on insurance analytics and financial modeling
Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for client deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, risk, and consulting
Support projects in IFRS 17, Solvency II, and risk management frameworks (as applicable)

Eligibility Criteria
Pursuing/completed B.Sc./Btech/BE/M.Sc. in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related fields
Cleared at least 1–3 Actuarial Papers (IAI / IFoA / SOA preferred)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of R / Python / SQL / VBA is an advantage
Good understanding of insurance concepts, probability, and statistics
Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills
Basic understanding of life insurance, general insurance, or health insurance products
Exposure to actuarial tools and financial modeling
Structured problem-solving approach
Professional attitude and client-facing communication skills
