As a Payroll Specialist at our company, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Performing assigned payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of domestic associates
- Ensuring that payroll activity is properly recorded in the General ledger and assisting in research and analysis on reconciling items
- Working with third party providers to ensure payroll tax compliance for both the company and associates
- Utilizing resources to identify issues, solve problems, and implement solutions with little to no supervision
- Solving and escalating issues to management in a simple and actionable format
- Performing complex data mining analytics and query creation
- Performing root cause analysis and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Working cross-functionally to resolve issues, including across other areas of the company
- Identifying and solving issues with limited/ambiguous parameters
- Taking initiative in recommending and implementing consistent improvements to controls and efficiency
- Interacting with others in a positive and inclusive manner
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting procedures and systems such as Oracle Cadency ReconNET
- Having cross-functional enterprise understanding and the ability to lead cross-functional projects
- Utilizing analytical and decision-making skills, with team handling experience being an added advantage
- Being an advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools

Qualifications required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- Certification in US Payroll would be an added advantage
- Certification in Lean and Six Sigma would be an added advantage
- 8-14 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibility and analytical decision making
