Job Title: Accountant & Book Keeper

1. Overview: The Accountant & Book Keeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position is designed for an organized and detail-oriented professional who can manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and support the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will contribute to strategic decision-making by providing timely and relevant financial information.


2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and payment.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements.

3. Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analytics tools.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.

4. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus.

5. Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Experience with financial software and technology implementation is preferred.
