The Delhi franchise centres are expanding their counselling team to support increasing student inquiries and admissions for CLAT and IPMAT preparation programs.

Role Overview

The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students and parents regarding CLAT and IPMAT preparation programs offered by Toprankers. The role involves counselling, admissions conversion, relationship management with students and parents, and coordinating closely with the academic and operations teams to ensure a smooth admission experience.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, an understanding of competitive exam preparation ecosystems, and a consultative approach to student counselling.

Key Responsibilities

Student Counselling & Admissions

Counsel prospective students and parents regarding CLAT and IPMAT preparation programs offered at the centre.

Understand students’ academic backgrounds, career aspirations, and guide them toward the most suitable program.

Explain course structures, program benefits, batch schedules, and outcomes to prospective candidates.

Manage walk-ins, telephonic enquiries, and online leads effectively.

Convert inquiries into admissions while maintaining a consultative and student-first approach.

Lead Management

Follow up with leads generated through digital campaigns, events, seminars, and referrals.

Maintain accurate records of enquiries, counselling sessions, and conversions in the CRM system.

Ensure timely follow-ups to maximize admissions conversion.

Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with students and parents throughout the counselling and admission process.

Coordinate with academic teams to address student queries regarding curriculum, batches, and faculty.

Provide post-admission support and ensure a positive onboarding experience.

Centre Support

Assist in organizing seminars, counselling sessions, and outreach activities related to CLAT and IPMAT.

Support centre heads with admission planning and batch intake targets.

Maintain high standards of professionalism and service at the counselling desk.

Key Requirements

Experience: 1–4 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, or education sales (experience in test prep or coaching institutes preferred).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA/PGDM preferred but not mandatory).

Prior experience in counselling for competitive exams such as CLAT, IPMAT, CUET, or similar programs will be an advantage.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong persuasion and counselling abilities with a student-centric approach.

Ability to handle multiple enquiries and maintain structured follow-ups.

Basic familiarity with CRM systems and lead management processes.

Preferred Skills

Understanding of law entrance exams (CLAT) or management entrance exams for undergraduates (IPMAT).

Experience working in coaching institutes, edtech companies, or educational counselling setups.

Strong organizational and relationship management skills.
