Position : Team Lead

 

Location: Bagalkot, Karnataka

 

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Own end-to-end plantation execution in the assigned cluster, including farmer onboarding, planting, and early survival management.

    • Lead farmer communication and local marketing activities such as village meetings, farmer interactions, and exposure visits to drive adoption.

    • Coordinate with implementation partners and nurseries to ensure sapling quality, timely supply, and proper planting practices.

    • Manage and supervise implementation-partner teams, with the ability to effectively handle 5 to 10 field surveyors and ensure data quality.

    • Plan and monitor field operations, including pit preparation, planting schedules, aftercare, and first-90-day maintenance.

    • Track plantation performance, survival rates, and on-ground risks, and take timely corrective actions.

    • Handle farmer issues and expectations professionally to protect long-term trust and program credibility.

    • Conduct farm audit post plantation activities to evaluate the quality of plantation

     

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Graduate in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related field

    • 1–4 years of experience in plantation execution, rural programs, agriculture operations, or field-based project management

    • Prior experience leading field teams and coordinating with partners preferred

    • Strong field execution and operational planning skills

    • Experience in managing on-ground teams and implementation partners

    • Knowledge of plantation practices, sapling quality, and early-stage survival management

    • Excellent farmer and community engagement skills

    • Ability to assess risks and take corrective actions in the field

    • Data quality awareness and basic reporting skills

    • The job requires frequent travelling
