Position: Nursery Associate

Location: Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seedling Production & Operations: Manage the entire seedling lifecycle and oversee nursery infrastructure, including greenhouses, equipment, and irrigation systems etc. with IP.

  • Maintain inventory control for seedlings, soil, fertilizers, and tools.

  • Quality & Logistics: Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM), maintain accurate logs for traceability, and coordinate sapling delivery to plantation sites.

  • Data & Compliance: Analyze growth and survival rates and ensure all practices meet environmental and regulatory standards.

  • Quality Standards: Maintain company’s quality assurance and quality control process at ground.

  • To know the specific measures, use for sapling production and health.

  • Preparation: To know the acclimate saplings to local conditions and prepare them for transportation?

  • Operations & Logistics: Assess nursery capacity and manage the delivery of saplings to plantation sites.

  • Maintenance: Manage pests and diseases, and support provided regarding sapling survival. 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Agricultural Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial or forestry nursery management.

  • Experience of working with the farmers on the ground in South India.

  • Basic knowledge of tree species, soil management, and seed handling.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel for reporting and inventory.

  • Proficient in English & Telugu language (Hindi is an added advantage)
